Joannah Whitten

Community Development Manager

Hello, my name is Jo, and I am the new Community Development Manager at Chase Meadow Community Centre. I have been appointed by The Board and Trustees to make the centre a really vibrant, engaging hub for all of our community. This is an exciting time for CMCC, as we try to encourage people from all ages and backgrounds to engage with the centre, so that we can be of real benefit to all.

I am currently looking for volunteers to help with new projects and would welcome any help or support you may feel you have to give. If you have ever had a burning desire to see a certain activity taking place locally, or to share a talent or passion you have with others, then now is the perfect time!

One current priority is the establishment of a Centre Advisory Group. I am hoping to build a group of interested parties and supporters of the centre, who would come together, discuss the vision of the centre and how best to move forward with it. This group would also ideally deliver ideas and information from other residents, so that the centre can grow in line with the needs and wishes of the community which we are here to serve.

If you feel that you, or someone you know could benefit from interaction with the centre, but currently feel unable to do so for whatever reason, then please do get in touch so that we can offer help or support.

If you would like to discuss anything detailed here, or anything else, then please do get in contact via phone, email, or pop into the centre and see me on a Tuesday or Friday.

I am looking forward to working alongside the local community to make your community centre a great success!

I can be contacted on joannahwhitten@googlemail.com , by calling 07581368655 or at CMCC most Tuesdays and Fridays.
